The CliniComp|EHR represents a total system redesign for the post PC architecture era in which, applications run device independently on ubiquitous tablets, smart phones, web-books, laptops, PCs, etc. The CliniComp|EHR is the only all cloud, web HTML5 based complete inpatient and outpatient EHR and departmental system on the market today. The web applications are stateless and full duplex (two-way independent communication). Stateless web requests are self-contained requiring no additional information to process. This enables, for example, a web client to switch servers on a keystroke by keystroke basis useful in load balancing or failover. Redundant scalable web servers are built on proven rock solid time tested highly secured core technology which has literally provided decades of absolute non-stop operation.
The CliniComp|EHR platform SOA architecture consists of a set of modular services connected via web services. This architecture allows for “plug and play” modules as new or improved functionalities are available. Legacy services can be retained and integrated using the CliniComp SOA web services adaptor (SOA-WSA). A user may choose a complete set of CliniComp|EHR services or a subset.

The CliniComp|EHR utilizes a single coherent distributable database for all in/out-patient applications including clinical documentation, ancillaries, Clinical Decision Support (CDS), ADT/registration, Revenue Cycle Management, CPOE, analytics, reporting and others. The database is built on Clinical Concept Objects (CCO) with unique adaptive normalizing attributes capable of functioning across large populations even with different and changing schemas. Data can be queried programmatically or interactively using CliniComp’s query tools based on the popular and well known SQL syntax.
The database at a low level automatically performs transactional multiplexing to all redundant local or remote cloud web servers. The database scales essentially without practical limit and maintains high performance even as billions of patient records are accumulated. This database technology allows massive worldwide populations to be created, accessed and analyzed with great speed and reliability.

Today definition of interoperability used between systems or Health Information Exhanges (HIE), includes relatively small abstracts of complete records. Integration is the next level of interoperability, dissolving system boundaries and unifying information. The CliniComp|EHR can achieve todays interoperability or the highest levels of integration with complete records of other systems by using the CliniComp SOA model described above.
CliniComp’s SOA web services adaptor (SOA-WSA) enables complete data sets to be communicated via normalizing adaptive Clinical Concept Objects (CCOs). Additionally, the SOA-WSA uses the highest performance native interface available to acquire data from or sent to an external system. For example, native data base calls e.g. MUMPS Remote Procedure Calls (RPC), Cache, Oracle, CCOs, etc. can be used. In each case the output from or input to the SOA-WSA is one or more CCOs.
