PC Specialist

As part of the Systems Engineering Group, the PC Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting Windows PCs, completing server installations, and performing maintenance activities. The PC Specialist works with minimal direction, displaying excellent reporting, time management, and communication skills. We are seeking an individual who is flexible with their working hours and is willing to be a part of the on-call rotation.

This is an excellent opportunity to expand your experience in a technology department working with PCs, laser-jet printers, scanners, facsimile machines, at least one computerized voice main system, and common office machines. We are especially interested in hearing about your experience with software such as Windows OS versions, Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, Visio, Project, WSUS, Exchange, NetBackup, Cisco VPN client, BlackBerry Server.

Qualifications:

While this is a wonderful career .launch-pad. position, it does require:
  • An Associate Degree in computer science or related field; or
  • Two or more years of experience in Windows workstations, servers, and PCs, including knowledge of Active Directory; or
  • A combination of experience and training equal to the above
  • The selected candidate must be able to obtain a DoD ADP security clearance and a VA security clearance
  • Must be able to maintain annual HIPAA certification

Technical Writer

As a Tech Writer at CCI, you will produce several types of documentation primarily for the product development team, and end-users. We will look for you to participate in the product development creative process, drawing out ideas and descriptions on what the product is supposed to be. We will then ask you to take the information gained from the creative process, interpret/translate ideas and draft technical documents, providing a step-by-step guide to engineers in the development process. (That is, you will draft detailed descriptions of what the product is supposed to be and write what will be versus what is). You will also draft release planning and release notes broken down by tasks and gather feedback, and modify the technical document as needed.

You will also have the opportunity to research, organize, write, edit, and produce user manuals and other user related documents that are distributed with software products, often when the product is still in the development or test state. Documents may include, but are not limited to: document name, product name, release number, release date, note date, note version, overview, purpose, summary, steps to reproduce, resolution, end-user impact, support impacts, software or hardware installation notes, product documentation notes, test results and test procedure, administration guides, customization guides, tutorials, references, disclaimer, and contact data. You will also design and create screen shots, screen recording videos, Visio diagrams, graphics, and Power Point presentations in connection with technical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have the ability to obtain a DoD ADP security clearance and a VA security clearance
  • BS or BA in English from an academically rigorous institution coupled with a technical background
  • At least 5 years technically-related work experience to include prior experience in technical writing for an audience of end users and product development engineers
  • Experience with Food and Drug Administration Quality System Regulations, Software Requirements Specification (SRS), Software Design Document (SDD), functional specs, and writing release notes strongly preferred
  • Experience writing technical documents for physician/nurse end-users strongly preferred
  • Expert technical writing skills, including a significant proficiency with oral and written English and the ability to analyze technical data in order to write instructional documentation; solid artistic/creative skills for documentation
  • Familiarity with the product development process, practices, and procedures with a strong understanding of technical subject matter
  • Experience migrating documentation to HTML; ability to use single-sourcing tools such as RoboHelp, D2H or AuthorIT
  • Ability to use video/audio compression technology when working with media (video, audio, images). Expert user in Visio or comparable application
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming (C++)
  • Ability to effectively use Advanced Microsoft Word and Power Point features. Knowledgeable of and proficiency with computerized data processing, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, data bases, internet, web-based and job specific software applications
  • Ability to elicit detailed ideas and explanations from engineers. Ability to work professionally, effectively, and harmoniously with others

Software Engineer

We have ongoing needs for talented Software Engineers.  Come use your programming expertise in a client/server environment with C++ on UNIX to develop products that impact people’s lives in a meaningful way.  This position will draw on your 7+ years of prior experience providing full-cycle software design, implementation and testing as you work to develop clinical information software used in healthcare institutions to chart, review and analyze patient clinical data. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years experience in software engineering. Experience should include programming in a client/server environment with C++ on Unix. Must have MFC experience. Also requires some experience in VC++, MFC, or .NET as well as working knowledge in at least 2 of the following areas:
  • Large Software Production Environment
  • Writing software documentation
  • CASE Tools
  • IEEE Software Engineering Standards
  • Web programming
  • Oracle and/or MS SQL Server
  • CORBA
  • US Citizenship is required.

 


Help Desk Coordinator

We have an immediate need for several Help Desk Coordinators to join our rapidly growing Application Support Group.  We are looking for individuals with a technical background, strong customer-service orientation and a desire to develop a career in systems support.  In this role, you will be responsible for answering incoming calls to the help desk, responding to questions and resolving simple request.  Additionally, you will determine which issues need to be escalated. You will also be responsible for managing the Service Directs database.  We have both day and night shift opportunities available.  All selected candidates must be available to work day shifts until fully trained.

Qualifications: 

  • Associates degree in computer or IT related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of data entry experience. 
  • Proficient skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel) 
  • Detail-oriented, efficient and comfortable with data entry in several database systems.
  • Ability to enter information with technical and medical terms carefully
  • Can interact well with inter-departmental personnel as well as outside clients
  • Multi-tasker and willing to accept other responsibilities as needed. 
  • US Citizenship is required

 


Systems Analyst

We have ongoing opportunities for Systems Analysts who will provide support to end users on a variety of issues through identification, research, and resolution of technical problems and configuration requests. To be successful in this position, you will draw upon your strong customer service and Help Desk (Tier II or III) support experience as well as your ability to modify UNIX files in a live environment.   

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree preferably in Computer Science or IT related discipline
  • 5+ years experience in supporting customers' software application requests and issues
  • Experience with File Editors (Vi or EMACS)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of documentation resources in resolving customer issues
  • Working knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and HP helpful
  • US Citizenship is required

 


Clinical Analyst

Our Clinical Analyst is responsible for supporting the full cycle of a customer implementation from kick-off to post go-live optimization on multiple client sites. Additionally he/she may assist in product demos for Sales Department as requested and available.

In this role, you will attend client kick-off meetings for new implementations to conduct demonstrations of the product, and to assist in providing an implementation overview. Additionally, you will work with client Department Heads/Clinical Leads to document current workflow at site, identify future workflow, and identify/document necessary configuration changes to support future workflow. You will draw on your prior experience in assisting client with system design, and evaluates configuration requests as well as training and go-live support plans.

Qualifications:
  • RN from approved School of Nursing required
  • Bachelors degree desirable
  • Informatics degree/certification, or classes/study in this discipline also desirable
  • Minimum 3-5 years recent acute care experience required
  • Participation in a Clinical Systems implementation required
  • Super User or Systems Administrator experience required

 


Account Managers

In this position, you will manage the development and maintenance of the relationships between our company and designated accounts so as to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, expansion, and reference-ability. You will serve as the primary point of contact for individually-assigned accounts. These openings are located in San Diego but require Travel up to 50% of the time.

This position will exercise your ability to manage customer-related communication and scheduling regarding the delivery or implementation of customer projects/products. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating among other CCI departments to ensure delivery and/or implementation including capturing product-specific requests from customers and communicating them to product marketing. Depending on the account, you may work with an assigned Sales Manager to coordinate existing customer sales opportunities, or, if a Sales Manager is not assigned, to develop sales proposals for the customer directly. Above all, we will be looking to you to develop relationships at sites that result in affirmative references.

Qualifications:
  • BA/S in Business, Informatics, or related degree
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
  • Ability to commit to at least 50% overnight travel
  • 5+ years of experience with CIS implementations for hospitals and medical centers
  • Experience presenting EHR software demonstrations
  • Experience with the EHR application life cycle from project definition through system implementation; including development and execution of user training; development of system and user documentation; and ongoing customer support for EHR systems
  • Clinical or inpatient experience is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success in customer satisfaction and meeting timelines for deployment and support deliverables
  • Proven strength in communicating effectively and diplomatically with customers, and other team members verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work in a team environment with close ties to the customer support teams and the customers
  • High level of initiative, self-direction, and accountability

 


Senior Front End Web Developer

We are making groundbreaking strides in the EMR field every day and are looking for talented engineers to be a part of our success. If selected, you will play a key role on our Engineering team and have visible and immediate impact on product development.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced software engineer with an M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or closely related field and a solid background in front-end web development using Web 2.0 technologies. Candidates with a B.S. in Computer Science or related field and significant experience developing front-end web applications are also encouraged to apply.

In this position, you will apply your 4+yrs experience of building dynamic front end applications using ExtJS, YUI, or jQuery JavaScript libraries to create the next generation of world-wide medical record charting systems. These systems will improve hospital workflow and predict patient outcomes.

Success in this position will require a strong background in extending, modifying, and customizing components of ExtJS, YUI, or jQuery libraries. You will also need significant experience in web frameworks including: Django, Struts 2, or Spring as well as experience with Python, php, and java. An advanced knowledge and proficiency with object oriented JavaScript, CSS/CSS3, XHTML and experience in MySQL database design and development would be highly desirable. Experience with Apache server or tomcat and performance tuning of web servers is a plus, as is design experience and working knowledge of PhotoShop for digital image assets.
