Dr. Halpern is a physician advisor to CliniComp, Intl. providing expert consultation in the design, development, configuration and integration of electronic medical records in support of critical care medicine. Dr. Halpern is Chief of Critical Care Medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, recognized internationally as one of the nation’s leading critical care facilities. Dr. Halpern is a board-certified critical care medicine physician who oversees a team of highly experienced doctors, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, and nurses who run Memorial Sloan-Kettering’s 20-bed medical/surgical adult intensive care unit. The ICU was the winner of the 2009 ICU Design Citation. Dr. Halpern has written more than 70 journal articles and book chapters and is a sought-after lecturer internationally about innovations in ICU design, the cost and use of critical care in America, and technology introduction in critical care among other topics.

Tom H. Karson, MD

Dr. Tom Karson is a Physician Advisor to CliniComp, Intl. providing expert consultation in the design, development, configuration and integration of electronic medical records. Dr. Karson is the Director of Research Computing and Deputy Chief Information Officer at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. In this role, Dr. Karson oversees the research informatics and computational needs of the faculty at Einstein and information technology functions in support of Yeshiva's research efforts.
Dr. Karson, who is also a practicing Cardiologist, has been at the forefront of health care computing for over a quarter century. Over the course of his career, Dr. Karson has led several state-of-the-art projects in electronic medical records, clinical and business applications and digital imaging at major health care organizations. Dr. Karson developed LaunchPad, an innovative medical graphical user interface that is widely used within the health care industry.
J.F. Lancelot
Technology Advisor - Product Management and Special Projects
Mr. Lancelot is an IT strategist with more than twenty four years of experience in healthcare information technology. With an educational background in cognitive science, artificial intelligence, psychology and computer science, he has solved numerous technical problems such as implementing real-time clinical databases. Mr. Lancelot has also designed distributed data acquisition networks and led teams of more than 20 engineers in implementing highly scalable, high-performance clinical information systems in use today at hospitals throughout the U.S. and Europe.
Today, he has three main areas of interest: healthcare-oriented system architectures, clinical workflow enhancement through automation and hardcore IT issues such as reliability, fault tolerance, security, performance and scalability.
As a Technology Advisor to CliniComp, his primary areas of focus are product and technology management as well as implementations and support. Mr. Lancelot is working to further improve technological functionality and efficiency, creating a scalable company prepared to meet the growing demand for healthcare IT. He is committed to achieving the holy grails of healthcare automation: optimized quality and outcomes, better clinical workflow and improved patient safety.
Mr. Lancelot graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. in cognitive science with emphasis on computation and also attended the Necker Medical School in Paris. He also holds a Baccalaureate (mathematics and physics) from the Lycee Buffon in Paris.
Suniti Ponkshe

Ms. Ponkshe is a health care IT advisor and strategist to CliniComp, Intl. providing expert consultation to clients in strategic planning, operations management and technology services for electronic medical records.
Ms. Ponkshe is Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Ponkshe Consulting Services, an independent consulting company providing executive and technology services to private and public sector health care organizations. Most recently, Ms. Ponkshe has been a consultant to the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology supporting projects including electronic health record certification criteria and program, strategic Health IT plan, SHARP research grants program and standards and interoperability framework. From 2005 -2009, Ms. Ponkshe was Associate Partner with IBM Global Business Services, Healthcare Practice where she was a member of the team managing health care business services including delivery, business development, sales support, and client relationship management. At IBM, Ms. Ponkshe provided services to many private sector health care clients as well as increased IBM presence in the federal health care market place with Department of Defense, Veterans Health Administration and the Federal Drug Administration.
Ms. Ponkshe's career spans over 25 years in health care. In addition to her extensive experience as a consultant, she has served as Chief Information Officer for Adventist HealthCare, the Maryland region, and Georgetown University and Medical Center. She holds a M.S. in Management Information Systems from Texas Tech University and Baccalaureates in General Laws and Statistics and Economics from the University of Bombay, India. Among her professional affiliations, Ms. Ponkshe is a founding member of Health TechNet, on the Advisory Board of Health IT Law & Industry Publication from BNA, Inc. and an active member of HIMSS NCA Chapter. She is a frequent guest lecturer at Georgetown University, George Mason University and USC in health care administration and technology.
